For non-resident assessees, in the procedure for making an application for PAN, there are certain importantthings every Non Residents should know while applying for PAN
  1. AO code applicable to International Taxation Directorate should be given.
  2. As for individuals, a foreign address can be given as residential and office address in case they do not have any Indian address. They can also give, for communication purposes, residential address or office address , in India or abroad
  3. Charges for despatching the PAN card is to be paid along with the application if a foreign address is given.
  4. Correct adress full address with zip or pin code is required.
  5. Current and valid email address is required.
  6. It is not compulsory to furnish a Residential Address (RA)
  7. In case RA is given, then there should be proof of identity and address for the RA in addition to the details of the applicant.
  8. Individual assessees need to submit their own recent colour photograph of prescribed size.
  9. For individuals, it is required that the application is signed only by the applicant himself, even when the RA details are provided
